How to create Tongue Rice Salad

Tongue Rice Salad 

Ingredients Tongue Rice Salad

Tongue Rice Salad measurements  Metric / Imperial (American)

100g 4oz long grain rice (1/2 cup)

Salt and pepper

1/2 small red pepper cored seeded on diced

1/2 small green pepper cored seeded on diced

25g 1oz raisins

5 tablespoons low calorie mayonnaise ()

1 teaspoon curry powder

1 teaspoon French mustard

225g 8oz cooked tongue sliced (1/2lb)

2 tablespoons of mango chutney

Method for Tongue Rice Salad:-

Cook the rice in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes until it is tender. Drain well and allow to cool. Add the red and green peppers and raisins to the rice. Mix together the low calorie mayonnaise, curry powder, mustard and pepper and salt to suit your own personal taste, then fold the dressing mix into the rice mixture. Spread out on to a serving plate. Arrange the tongue slices on the top and spoon over the chutney.

Tongue rice salad serves 4 people
